The women of the Milpitas Rotary represent a diverse group of likeminded business professionals and community leaders who are dedicated to enriching lives in the community and abroad.

Incorporated in 1954, it was only until 1987 the first woman was admitted full membership into the Milpitas Rotary. This year marks the big 20th Anniversary of women in the Rotary and they continue to be a great contributer to the club's growth.

Today the Milpitas Rotary boasts 15 active women members who are a driving force behind a multitude of civic volunteerism and global humanitarian efforts.

The women of the Milpitas Rotary are directly involved with student mentoring programs and sponsors Interact, which offers young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends. In addition, the club supports Milpitas scholastics by donating six scholarships annually.

Rebuilding Together is another cause the women support which improves homes and lives of low-income homeowners in the community. The women of the Milpitas Rotary are also involved with various neighborhood beautification projects.

Supporting the community remains a priority. Throughout the year, the women works with the Milpitas Food Pantry, Relay for Life and the Family Giving Tree which donated over 60,000 toys to families in need last year.

Contributions do not stop at a local level. The women of the Milpitas Rotary has played an integral role in relief efforts in New Orleans, Honduras, Mexico, India, Africa and the Philippines, as well as adopting orphanages in Nepal and Russia. The club also partners with Polio Plus, an organization with a mission to eradicate polio worldwide.

The Milpitas Rotary meets Mondays for lunch at Embassy Suites Milpitas. This social network fosters an environment to discuss positive change and challenges. Guests are always welcome and membership is accepted regularly. See how you can make a difference today.
